CalOSHA - Fall Protection - Competent Person (SP017)

This is a Cal/OSHA-compliant, I-CAB recognized safety training course intended to teach someone for the role competent person in fall protection. Topics covered in this training include protection plan, anchorage points, body wear, connective devices, and emergencies. This course meets the classroom requirement for occupational safety training. It also includes a proficiency checklist that employers can use to perform a practical evaluation. Upon completion, trainees will be able to download and print a certificate or wallet card to show that they have completed CAL/OSHA Fall Protection – Competent Person training.

NOTE: Only an employer can designate an employee as certified. Certification requirements can vary by state or province. Check local standards for any additional occupational training requirements.
